Checklist for developing a new library

  1. Who (group and individual) are we delivering this library to?
  2. When do we deliver?
  3. What functionality do we deliver?
  4. What data fields are they collecting for encounters (e.g., sex, length, location, etc.)?
  5. What training do we deliver?
  6. What support do we deliver and for how long?
  7. Does this group have sufficient mark-recapture knowledge to use this resource? If not, how do we help them?
  8. Does this group have sufficient technical knowledge to maintain this new library? If not, how do we help them?
  9. Who pays for monthly hosting costs?
  10. Do we feel that this group has the resources to promote this library?
  11. Can this group help offset development costs?
